Hi! I am sorry it's frustrating. The beads are definitely small and it takes time to get used to how they "work". My best advice is to do a little practice without all the increases and decreases and just get used to the beads and brick stitch first and then play with a pattern like this one.

What size are the wires you using here?

Does your cord have any stretch to it? That could be causing the issue. Will it adjust at all? If not, perhaps the knot is too tight?

If you want to anklet what size wax threads do you cut
I would follow the same instructions as the bracelet and add an extra 12 inches to be safe. An anklet is not too much larger than a regular bracelet.

I think you would need to perhaps paint them on over the beads if you want whiskers

Yes, approximately. Even 11/0 seed beads will vary in size based on the type (round, cylindric, tri-cut, etc.). They usually measure slightly under or slightly over 2mm.
Is there hat cord stretchy or iis it more like embroidery cord
This cord does not have much stretch to it and for kumihimo you don't want a cord with much stretch. Embroidery cord works as does S-Lon, Amiet thread, etc.
